As you know that India is a country of festivals. Festivals will keep us to gathered and make a strong bond between people. A festival is a time for fun, eating sweets, wearing new clothes and meeting relatives and friends.

  • National Festival
  • Religious Festival

National festivals

  • Republic day (Celebrated on 26th January)
  • Independence day (Celebrated on 15th August)
  • Gandhi Jayanti (Celebrated on 2nd October)

Religious festivals

People celebrate Religious festival on particular religion or event.

Following are the Major Religious festivals:

  • Holi (Is known as festival of color)
  • Diwali (Is known as festival of light)
  • Christmas (Is celebrated on birthday of Jesus Christ)
  • Raksha Bandhan (Festival of brother and sister)
  • Dusshera (It is known as Vijaya Dashami)
  • Janmastami (Birthday of lord Krishna)
  • Onam (Famous festival of Kerala)
  • Buddha Purnima (Birthday of Gautama Buddha)
  • Mahavir jayanti (Birthday of Lord Mahavira)
  • EID (festival of Muslium)
