Happy Krishna Janmashtami

Today we will see basic information about Janmashtami Festival.

As you know that India is a country of festivals. Festivals will keep us to-gathered and make a strong bond between people. A festival is a time for fun, eating sweets, wearing new clothes and meeting relatives and friends.

People of India celebrating different festivals, in this session we will see the Krishna Janmashtami.

Lord Krishna

Janmashtami is also known as a Krishna Janmashtami, Gokulashtami, Srikrishna Jayanti and Birth of Krishna.

Janmashtami is known Krishna Janmashtami which is an annual Hindu festival.

Here, Janmashtami mean Janm + Ashtami, In Gujarati or Hindi Janm means Birth and Ashtami means 8th.

On this day, Hindu celebrate Krishna Janmashtami as a Birth day of Lord Krishna

In year 2020, Krishna Janmashtami will comes on 12th  August (Wednesday)

Krishna Janmashtami festival is celebrated on 8th day of Krishna Paksh in saravan month. On this day, People do fasting (upvas) for whole day. People singing a song of lord Krishna.

Krishan is the son of Devaki and Vasudav. Lord Krishan was the 8th Avtar of Vishnu.

Nanda and Yashoda were the foster parents of lord Krishna. That’s why Krishna is also known as a ‘Yashoda ka Nand Lala’
