Today we will see basic information about National Festivals of India.
As you know that India is a country of festivals. Festivals will keep us to gathered and make a strong bond between people.
A festival is a time for fun, eating sweets, wearing new clothes and meeting relatives and friends. People of India celebrating different festivals, in this video we will see the National Festivals of India.
National Festivals of India are following:
- Republic Day (26th January)
- Independence Day (15th August)
- Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October)
Republic Day (26th January)
We celebrate Republic day on 26th January.
On this day, The President of India hoists the national flag at Rajpath, New Delhi. Parade, which is known as an organized procession of series of performance is the main attraction at Rajpath after the flag hoist.
Indian armed force, Police , School children, Folk dancer from different state are take part in this parade. Brave children also get bravery award on this day.
Do you know ??? In year 2015 first time in India, Women of armed force participated in parade in Republic Day?
Independence Day (15th August)
We celebrate Independence day on 15th August.
In year 1947, India became independent from British Ruler on this day due to this we are celebrate this day as an Independence day. Prime Minister of India hoist the national flag at the Red fort, New Dehli.
On this day, we play a patriotic song and we remember the freedom fighter. All schools , collages and other hoist flag and have some sports activity on that day. We have national holiday in this day.
Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October)
We celebrate Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October.
It is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi is also known as Bapu. We have national holiday in this day. Gandhi Bapu is the known for non-violence. Prayer meeting is held at Rajgath .
Do you know??? International non –violence day is also celebrated on the 2nd October.
